𝗢𝗺 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗺 𝗬𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗵𝗲 (© 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘒𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘢 𝘉𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘨) is also called the Mahamrityunjaya mantra, the great (𝘔𝘢𝘩𝘢), death-defeating (𝘔𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘢𝘺𝘢) mantra. The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is one of the most important mantras in the Vedic tradition and addresses "the Three-Eyed One" (𝘛𝘳𝘺𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘬𝘢) - the god Shiva. That is why it is also called the Rudra Mantra.

With this mantra we worship the Three-Eyed One, the One who cares for the welfare of all beings. We ask him to help us overcome our limited consciousness and thus free us from all bindings.

The three-eyed Shiva is considered the overcomer of death. He can help us to experience true immortality.

The Mahamrityunjaya mantra has both healing and protective powers. It is chanted as a blessing mantra on birthdays, as a protective mantra for travelers, as a healing mantra for the sick, and also as a mantra for the deceased to give them the strength to detach from all earthly things.

At the end of the mantra, there is an English text that tries to translate the meaning of the prayer. But the mantra is so deep and comprehensive that it is difficult to put into words. In fact, you can only experience it.

If you want, just practice: Recite and chant this mantra daily and observe if you can experience its blessings.

wird auch das Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, das große (𝘔𝘢𝘩𝘢), den Tod besiegende (𝘔𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘢𝘺𝘢) Mantra genannt. Das Mahamrityunjaya Mantra ist eines der bedeutendsten Mantras der vedischen Tradition und wendet sich an "den Dreiäugigen" (𝘛𝘳𝘺𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘬𝘢) – den Gott Shiva. Deswegen wird es auch als Rudra Mantra bezeichnet.

Mit diesem Mantra verehren wir den Dreiäugigen, denjenigen, der sich um das Wohlergehen aller Wesen kümmert. Wir bitten ihn darum, dass er uns dabei helfen möge, unser begrenztes Bewusstsein zu überwinden und uns so von allen Bindungen zu befreien.

Der dreiäugige Shiva gilt als der Überwinder des Todes. Er kann bewirken, dass wir wahre Unsterblichkeit erfahren.

Das Mahamrityunjaya Mantra hat sowohl heilende als auch schützende Kräfte. Es wird als Segensmantra an Geburtstagen, als Schutzmantra für Reisende, als Heilungsmantra für Kranke und auch als ein Mantra für Verstorbene gesungen, um ihnen die Kraft zu geben, sich von allem Irdischen zu lösen.

Am Ende des Mantras ist ein englischer Text zu hören, der die Bedeutung des Gebets zu übersetzen versucht. Doch das Mantra ist so tief und umfassend, dass es nur schwer in Worte zu fassen ist. Man kann es eigentlich nur erfahren.

Wenn Du willst, probiere es einfach aus: Rezitiere und singe dieses Mantra täglich und beobachte, ob Du seinen Segen erleben kannst.
